1. Who we are

SynapseRP ("we", "us") operates this website as a companion site to our FiveM roleplay server. This policy explains what account and gameplay-related data we collect through the website, why, and what rights you have over it.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: the email address you register with, and a securely hashed (not plaintext) version of your password.
• Session information: when you log in, we store an IP address, browser/user-agent string, and timestamps against your login session, so we can show you your active sessions and let you revoke them.
• Forum content: threads, posts, and any profile information you choose to add to your forum profile.
• Linked character data: once you link your account to your in-game Social Club license, the site reads (read-only) character, vehicle, faction, and business data associated with that license from the game server's database, to display it back to you on your dashboard.
• Bug reports: any details, labels, and image links you submit through the bug-report tool.

3. How we use it

We use this information to operate your account (authentication, two-factor login codes, password resets), secure it (session and lockout management, abuse prevention), let you use panel features (dashboard, forum, bug reports), and moderate the community (forum moderation, bug-report triage).

4. Cookies

We set two cookies, both strictly necessary for the site to function and not used for tracking or advertising:

• Session cookie - keeps you signed in.
• CSRF cookie - protects your account from cross-site request forgery.

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

5. Data retention

Expired or revoked login sessions, spent two-factor codes, and spent email confirmation/reset links are automatically deleted from our database on a rolling basis, shortly after they stop being useful. Forum posts and account data persist until you delete your account or ask us to.

6. Third parties

We use Resend to deliver transactional email (confirmation links, login codes, password reset links). Your email address and the content of these messages pass through their service for that purpose only. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

7. Your rights

You can delete your own account at any time from Preferences, which permanently removes your account, sessions, and forum posts. For anything that self-service can't cover - such as requesting a copy of your data, or help with a request - contact us at [email protected].

8. Age requirement

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account on this site.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above.
